1. Overview & Privacy Philosophy

This Privacy Policy explains how ShiftWise ("the Application", "we", "our"), developed and published by Refaform Studio (Rifaat Al-Ani), treats user data. Protecting your personal work information, hourly wages, and schedule privacy is the core engineering principle of ShiftWise.

ShiftWise operates on a 100% on-device, local-first model. We do not require you to create an account, log in with an email, or connect to external servers.

2. Data Collection & Local Storage

All data entered into ShiftWise, including logged shifts, work hours, overtime thresholds, hourly wage rates, differential parameters, break intervals, and notes, is stored exclusively on your mobile device in an isolated local database (IndexedDB / SQLite).

This data is never sent, synced, or backed up to external servers, nor does Refaform Studio have access to your work records or financial calculations.

3. Device Permissions & Purpose

ShiftWise only requests permissions strictly necessary to execute its core functions:

• Storage / Media Access: Needed solely when you choose to export your reports (clean PDF, multi-sheet Excel .xlsx, or CSV files) to save or share them outside the application.
• Internet Access: Used exclusively by the Android WebView for loading standard Google Fonts and opening legal URLs. No personal user data is ever transmitted over the network.

4. Third-Party Services & Advertising

ShiftWise does not utilize background tracking SDKs, device fingerprinting, or hidden analytics. If optional banner advertisements or in-app memberships are enabled in future updates, they comply strictly with the Google Play Developer Policies and European GDPR standards, allowing users to opt out of personalized tracking via device settings.

5. Your Rights Under GDPR (European Union)

Under the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you possess full rights to access, rectify, export, and delete your processed data. Because ShiftWise stores everything on your device, you have immediate, self-service control at any time:

• Export Data: You can export all your shifts in JSON, Excel, and PDF formats anytime via the Reports and Settings tabs.
• Delete Data: You can permanently wipe all shifts and reset your app data with one tap inside Settings > Data > Clear All Data.
